Joshua Tetterton is a Carteret County native. He was born and raised in Morehead City, North Carolina. After high school he moved to Raleigh where he graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned his Juris Doctorate from Campbell University School of Law. During law school he concentrated his course load in criminal law while interning at the Harnett County District Attorney's office. Mr. Tetterton then went on to work for a private criminal defense firm in Wake County, where he gained important skills in legal methods as well as in managing a law office. As a lifelong North Carolinian, Mr. Tetterton has a deep understanding of the state and local legal process.
Mr. Tetterton focuses his practice exclusively on traffic violations and criminal defense in Carteret County. His professional experience includes the defense of individuals against a wide array of allegations including DWI, speeding tickets, assault charges, drug & trafficking offenses, underage drinking tickets, possession charges, BUI, probation violations and other criminal offenses.
Mr. Tetterton is married with two children and attends One Harbor Church in Morehead City. He is an Eagle Scout and volunteers in his community through multiple organizations such as the Beaufort Historical Association, Nominating Counsel for the Boy Scouts of America and has served as a board member for the Carteret County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
